Alleged Mukhrovani Mutiny Mastermind’s Relatives Released
Police released relatives of Koba Otanadze, who has been identified by the Interior Ministry as the key mastermind of a reported mutiny in Mukhrovani on May 5, after Otanadze was detained in a police operation last night, a defense lawyer, Onise Mebonia, told Civl.Ge on May 21.
Koba Otanadze and another suspect into the same case of Mukhrovani incident were injured and the third suspect, Gia Krialashvili, killed in a reported shootout with police in the suburb of Tbilisi.
Brother of Koba Otanadze, Jimsher Otanadze, the latter’s wife Gulo Zaridze and their son Giorgi Otanadze, 19, who were detained by the police in their home at about 3am local time on May 20, were released after the police operation and no charges have been brought against them, according to the defense lawyer.
