Brig. Gen. Kurashvili Promoted to Deputy Chief of Staff

Brigadier General Mamuka Kurashvili has been promoted to fill one vacant post of deputy chief of joint staff of the Georgian armed forces, the Defense Ministry said on May 8.

Brigadier-General Davit Nairashvili is another deputy chief of staff.

Brig. Gen. Kurashvili was as deputy head of the MoD’s General Inspection.

During the August war he was in charge of overseeing peacekeeping operations in Georgia’s conflict zones.
