Georgian Foreign Minister Visits Ukraine
Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze is a paying a two-day working visit to Ukraine on February 26-27.
On February 26 Vashadze met with Ukrainian President Victor Yushchenko to discuss the bilateral cooperation issues, including preparation for the Energy Summit and cooperation within GUAM.
According to the Ukrainian President’s press office, the two sides also discussed the issue of resolution of conflicts in breakaway Abkhazia and South Ossetia, “with President Yushchenko assuring that Ukraine supports peaceful resolution on the basis of respect to Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.”
