Natelashvili Slams British Embassy for Denying Visa
Shalva Natelashvili, the leader of opposition Labor Party, said the British embassy in Tbilisi had denied him visa “for political reasons” – the move, which he said, was in prior agreement with “the Saakashvili’s terrorist regime.”
“For that purpose I suspend all type of relations with the British embassy in Georgia, unless receiving an official apology from the embassy and unless the British ambassador [Denis Keefe] and consular are recalled from Georgia,” Natelashvili said on February 23.
The British embassy has confirmed not issuing visa to Shalva Natelashvili, but said it was not commenting on individual visa cases.
