EU Calls for Continued OSCE Presence in Georgia
Karel Schwarzenberg, the foreign minister of the Czech Republic, which holds the EU presidency, said the bloc supported efforts to help continued OSCE presence in Georgia.
“The EU intends to continue its engagement in Georgia but this engagement cannot replace the valuable OSCE presence,” he told the OSCE Permanent Council in Vienna on January 29. “We see both missions as complementary and mutually reinforcing."
