Georgian Foreign Minister Visits Azerbaijan
Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze will pay an official visit to Azerbaijan on December 22-23, the Georgian Foreign Ministry reported.
It will be Vashadze’s first foreign trip in the capacity of the Foreign Minister.
He said that relations with neighboring states were of vital importance for Georgia.
“We have no problems, we have issues to be discussed with Azerbaijani,” he told journalists before departure.
He said that recent treaty with Azerbaijan on supply of gas for five-years was of “historic” importance.
In Baku Vashadze will meet with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Prime Minister Artur Rasi-Zade and Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov.
