Bridge Blown up on S.Ossetian Border

A bridge was blown up on the South Ossetian administrative border overnight on October 31, both South Ossetian and Georgian sources reported. No causalities were reported.

The bridge linked the village of Kveshi – on the Georgian side of the administrative border – and the village of Artsevi, south-east of Tskhinvali, on the South Ossetian side.

The Georgian side has described the incident as a South Ossetian attempt to isolate the region from the rest of Georgia. Lado Vardzelashvili, the governor of the Shida Kartli region, said that “this is a typical terrorist act.”
