U.S. Assistant Secretary Visits Georgia

Daniel Fried, the U.S. Assistant secretary of state, is visiting Georgia on October 18-20.

Fried, who was representing the United States at the Geneva talks on October 15, will hold meetings with the Georgian leadership and the opposition representatives.

He was visiting war-affected areas in the Shida Kartli region on October 19 and on October 18 he met with a group of local journalists to discuss issues related with freedom of media.
