Bagapsh Plans to Reinforce Administrative Border with Georgia
Abkhaz leader Sergey Bagapsh said that Sokhumi’s “number one task” was to reinforce the administrative border with Georgia.
“This will be a real state border,” Apsnypress news agency quoted Bagapsh as saying on September 23.
Speaking at a press conference in Sokhumi, Bagapsh also said that strengthening the administrative border with Georgia would prevent the movement of “saboteur-terrorist groups” and contraband, as well as the irregular movement of people.
The Abkhaz leader also said the border between Abkhazia and the Russian Federation would be more open, adding that relevant agreements would be signed with Moscow.
