Two Policemen Injured in Mine Blast
Two Georgian policemen were injured in a mine explosion in the village of Khurcha on September 22, the Georgian Interior Ministry said.
The incident occurred at about 7am local time in the village, which is on the administrative border of breakaway Abkhazia.
The Georgian Interior Ministry said in a statement that the area where the incident occurred “was mined by the Russian forces.”
In a separate incident in the evening on September 21 one Georgian policeman was killed and three others injured in a shootout in the same village, according to the Georgian Interior Ministry.
