New Rights Activist Criticizes Leader for Boycotting Elections
MP Koka Guntsadze of the opposition New Rights party has criticized party leadership for boycotting the October 5 local self-governance elections.
After failing to convince influential tycoon Badri Patarkatsishvili to run for the Tbilisi mayoral office MP Davit Gamkrelidze, the New Rights leader, announced on September 11 that his party will boycott elections .
?Boycotting the elections is the wrong decision. Unfortunately I failed to convince my friends [from the New Rights party] of this,? MP Guntsadze told Imedi television on September 11.
