Georgian Plane to Bring Turkish Bus Crash Victims

Georgia has sent a plane to the Turkish town of Samsun to bring Georgian citizens injured in a bus crash on August 16 back to Georgia.


Six passengers died after a bus en-route from Istanbul to Tbilisi ran off a mountain road near the Turkish town of Samsun. Four of the dead were Georgian citizens, and an additional 22 Georgians were injured.


Some of the Georgians with minor injuries have already returned to Georgia, and the plane will transport those with more serious injuries.
