PM Comments on Kodori Rehabilitation
Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Nogaideli instructed the government to complete the rehabilitation works in the upper Kodori gorge by late September.
?Preparatory works have practically been carried out. I think that we should complete rehabilitation of the Kodori gorge by the end of September, as winter comes to the gorge in early October,? Nogaideli said at the government?s session on August 11.
70 tons of humanitarian aid, mainly food products, has already been sent to the Kodori Gorge to be distributed among the local population. President Saakashvili said earlier that the rehabilitation projects will include reconstruction of roads, schools, hospitals and an air field in the upper Kodori gorge.
