Prosecutors Ask Court to Lift Ban on Imedi

The General Prosecutor?s Office asked the courts on December 5 to unfreeze Imedi?s assets. They have 24 hours to consider the matter.

?We hope it will take less than 24 hours and that our technicians will be allowed to enter the Imedi studios later today,? Bidzina Baratashvili, the managing director of Imedi TV, told Civil.Ge.

He also said that it was impossible to know when exactly Imedi would resume broadcasting, as technicians had still to inspect studio equipment.
