EU Says Media Freedom Remains Sources of Concern in Georgia

Although the state of emergency has been lifted in Georgia, ?media freedom remains of concern,? foreign and defence ministers from EU member-states said at a meeting in Brussels on November 19-20.

The ministers, having discussed recent developments in Georgia, said that the EU would ?continue to keep the situation under close review.?

They also underlined the importance of ensuring all the conditions for due democratic process ahead of the early president polls, expected for January 5.
