Okruashvili Speaks Out

Irakli Okruashvili, the ex-defense minister, said while speaking in a live interview with the Imedi TV from Munich late on November 5:

• This is for the first time I am anxious during the televised interview;
  
• I am sorry for not being with thousands of people on the Rustaveli Avenue;
  
• I want to say sorry to all those Georgians whom I have disappointed by the testimony, which I was forced to give in the jail;
  
• President offered us game under the name Endurance;
  
• People have never lost this game of endurance and people will win;
  
• Saakashvili is getting information only from his inner circle;
  
• Your [referring to Saakashvili] days are counted, because people has already ruled a verdict against you;I was forced to become a political refugee;
  
• I have only one thing on my mind: how to make you [referring to Saakashvili] leave the power;
  
• By speaking out again I am taking a huge risk, but I can not keep silence;
  
• No one should think that I am going to stay in Europe; I am going to come back to Georgia, because I am sure these authorities will soon leave;
  
• I have contacts with the ten-party opposition coalition;
  
• The authorities have too much to lose, so they are dangerous;
  
• All those accusations I have levelled against Saakashvili are true; but I won?t be able to prove them under the current judiciary system of Georgia;
  
• I had no contacts with Badri Petriashvili since I have been released from jail;
  
• I had contacts with him time after time previously, but we have never planned any joint political activities;
  
• The Georgian people?s will to see united opposition is fulfilled, which of course does not mean that they should run for elections under the joint ticket; this unity is against Saakashvili;
  
• I want to wish thousands of protesters endurance;
  
• We should jointly get rid of this plague, Mikheil Saakashvili;
