Head of Parliamentary Committee on Euro-Integration Appointed

Parliament approved MP Nino Nakashidze of the ruling party as the new chairperson of the Parliamentary Committee for European Integration Issues on September 7.

The position had been vacant since July when  the previous incumbent, Davit Bakradze, was appointed as the state minister for conflict resolution issues.

Nakashidze, a lawmaker with close links to Burjanadze, was previously the deputy chairperson of the parliamentary committee for foreign relations.
