Foreign Minister to Visit EU, U.S.

Gela Bezhuashvili, Georgia?s foreign minister, is due to start a series of of foreign trips this week which include visits to five western countries.

On August 31-September 1 he will be in Slovenia, which will assume the EU?s rotating six-month presidency in January 2008. On September 3 Bezhuashvili will be in Brussels, according to the Foreign Ministry.

On September 6-7 he will visit Berlin and then Washington on September 8-11. He will conclude the series of trips with a visit to Lithuania on September 13-14.
