Tskhinvali Releases 3 Georgians
Three Georgian citizens, a 13-year-old boy among them, were released by the South Ossetian secessionist authorities on August 27, a day after their arrest, Georgian media sources reported.
They were detained near the South Ossetian-controlled Monasteri village while trying to take a photo of a nearby South Ossetian militia post, the South Ossetian Press and Information Committee said. Davit Galegashvili, a former chief of Georgia?s tax department who currently serves as financial manager at the Tao Bank, was one of the detainees.
?They had no identification papers,? the South Ossetian Press and Information Committee said. ?They entered South Ossetian territory without the prior notification of the authorities.?
