Power Station Sold for US$ 41 mln
The Georgian Economy Ministry has auctioned off its oldest hydropower plant, Zahesi, in outskirts of Tbilisi, for USD 41 million.
A Georgian company, Bonaser Trading Limited, bought the power station at the auction on July 19. The starting price was USD 15 million.
Four other companies, including the Czech Energo-Pro, were bidded for the power station.
In May 2007, Bonaser Trading Limited purchased 74% of state shares in Chkhor hydro power plant in the Samegrelo region for USD 1.5 million and Kinkisha hydro power plant in Adjara for USD 305,000.
