License for Mineral Water Bottling Sold for GEL 3 mln

JSC Healthy Water Inc.  has retained its license for bottling Nabeghlavi mineral water for the next 25 years.

With an initial asking price of GEL 2.7 million, the company paid GEL 3 million (USD 1.8 million) at a Ministry of Environment auction on June 13. The company was the only bidder.

Healthy Water Inc. – affiliated with the governor of Guria region, Mikheil Svimonishvili – has been bottling Nabeghlavi mineral water since 1997 in the district of Chokhatauri, western Georgia.

The company currently exports Nabeghlavi mineral water to eight countries. Russia has been closed since last May, following the imposition of an economic embargo on Georgia.
