Secessionist Lawmakers Condemn Tbilisi’s S. Ossetia Policy

The Parliamentary Assembly of breakaway Abkhazia, South Ossetia and Transdnestria has condemned Tbilisi’s “provocative” policy regarding South Ossetia, Apsnipress news agency reported on May 16.
 
“Tbilisi’s tactic aimed at suffocating the freedom of the South Ossetian people is identical to the provocative actions, which are carried out by Saakashvili’s regime in the Kodori Gorge of the Abkhaz Republic,” the statement reads. 
 
Parliamentarians from the three secessionist regions also urged the UN, OSCE, Council of Europe, the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and the NATO Parliamentary Assembly to create an expert commission that would assess the current situation in the South Ossetian conflict zone.
