Russian Troops Headquarters’ Pullout Close to Finalization

A trainload with military cargo belonging to the Headquarters of Group of Russian Troops in Tran Caucasus (GRVZ) departed from Georgia to the Russian Federation via Azerbaijan on December 14, the Georgian Defense Ministry reported. 
 
The process of withdrawing from the Headquarters in Georgia will be completed on December 25.

The process is being carried out ahead of the original schedule. According to a Russian-Georgian agreement, the Headquarters Group of Russian Troops in Tran Caucasus was set to leave Georgian territory in the course of 2008.
