S.Ossetia ‘Alternative Leader’ Inauguration Postponed

The inauguration ceremony of Dimitri Sanakoev, who won the so-called alternative presidential elections in breakaway South Ossetia, has been postponed, Uruzmag Karkusov, chairman of the election commission that managed the alternative polls, told Civil Georgia on Thursday.

The inauguration was originally scheduled for November 23. Karkusov said that November 27 is set as new tentative date of inauguration, but did not specify the reasons for the postponement.

Meanwhile, secessionist authorities in South Ossetia are planning re-elected leader Eduard Kokoity’s inauguration ceremony for November 25 in Tskhinvali.
