US Official to Visit Tbilisi, Sokhumi

U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Matthew Bryza will arrive in Tbilisi on November 17 and meet with the Georgian President and Prime Minister to discuss bilateral ties and conflict resolution issues in Georgia, according to the U.S. Embassy in Tbilisi.


Matthew Bryza will also visit Sokhumi and meet with the breakaway region’s leadership on November 18.

The issue of Abkhaz and South Ossetian conflict resolution was discussed during talks between Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin and U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Daniel Fried in Moscow on November 15.
