Tbilisi Accused of Installing Radar in S.Ossetian Conflict Zone

Authorities in breakaway South Ossetia said the Georgian side has installed an air defense radar on the area it controls inside the conflict zone, which is a violation of the 1992 ceasefire agreement.

The South Ossetian Press and Information Committee reported that the presence of an air defense radar station near the village of Shavshvebi has been confirmed by the Russian peacekeeping forces stationed in the conflict zone.

The Georgian Ministry of Defense has denied the allegation, Georgian media sources reported on November 5.
