Bagapsh Hails UNOMIG Findings over Kodori Shelling

Abkhaz leader Sergey Bagapsh hailed the results of an investigation carried out by the UN Observer Mission in Georgia (UNOMIG) regarding a recent shelling in Tbilisi-controlled upper Kodori gorge.
 
UN observers confirmed that GRAD rockets hit upper Kodori gorge on October 25 near the village of Azhara, but said the missiles were not launched from Abkhaz-controlled Tkvarcheli, as Tbilisi officials claimed.
 
?The results of the investigation clearly define where the rockets were launched from. The UN Mission confirms that no missiles were launched from the Abkhaz-controlled territory. If we wanted to open fire, we would have done it more precisely,? Apsnipress news agency quoted Sergey Bagapsh as saying on November 2.
