Official: Moscow Ready to Discuss Georgia at EU-Russia Summit
Sergey Yastrzhembsky, an aide to the Russian President, said on October 19 that Russia is ready to discuss Georgia-related issues when Vladimir Putin meets with heads of the EU states on October 20 in Finland, Interfax and RIA Novosti news agencies reported.
He noted that Georgian-Russian tensions and issues regarding the murder of Russian investigative reporters Anna Politkovskaya are not on the agenda of the summit, ?but ongoing political developments will always emerge during conversation.?
?And of course we are ready for this conversation,? Yastrzhembsky said.
