Constitutional Court Turns Down Former MP’s Appeal
The Georgian Constitutional Court turned down the appeal filed by former parliamentarian from the opposition Republican Party Valery Gelashvili demanding cancellation of the Parliament’s decision to strip him of his MP credentials.
The opposition has already described the court ruling, which is non-appealable, as politically motivated.
The parliamentary majority stripped Valery Gelashvili of his MP credentials on March 31 after accusing him of being involved in the management of his construction firm Evra.
