Russian Diplomat: JCC Planned in Vladikavkaz
Valery Kenyaikin, the Russian chief negotiator for South Ossetian issues, said on March 14 that the session of the quadripartite Joint Control Commission (JCC) over South Ossetian conflict will be held in Vladikavkaz, the capital of Russia’s North Ossetia, in the near future.
“The session of the Joint Control Commission will be held either by the end of this week or at the beginning of the next week in Vladikavkaz. The venue is already agreed among the sides. I do not think that the Georgian side is against visiting North Ossetia. The only technical issue is remaining – to agree on the exact date,” RIA Novosti news agency quoted Valery Kenyaikin as saying on March 14.
He said that during the session talks over a joint Georgian-Ossetian program on conflict resolution and discussion of the issues of confidence building, demilitarization and social-economic rehabilitation are planned.
