PM: Security Guaranteed to S.Ossetian Negotiators in Tbilisi

Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Nogaideli said on January 13 that a visit to Tbilisi ?poses no threat? to South Ossetian negotiators.

South Ossetian chief negotiator Boris Chochiev, who is deputy chairman of the breakaway region?s government, declined the Georgian side?s proposal to hold a session of the quadripartite Joint Control Commission (JCC) in Tbilisi on January 18-20, citing security concerns.

?Chochiev faces no danger in Tbilisi. It is just funny. And Chochiev knows this very well. Looking for some pretext in order to drag-out the [negotiating] process is not in anyone?s interests,? the Prime Minister told reporters.
