Efforts Underway to Organize Bagapsh-Saakashvili Talks

Intensive efforts are underway in an attempt to organize talks between Abkhaz leader Sergey Bagapsh and President Mikheil Saakashvili by February, 2005, Georgian State Minister for Conflict Resolution Issues Giorgi Khaindrava said on December 30.

?This meeting is planned? It is high time to give up language of ultimatums and hold a dialogue,? Khaindrava said at a news conference.

Bagapsh said on December 28 that he can meet President Saakashvili only after the agreement on non-resumption of hostilities is signed between the two sides.
