Shootout Reported in Abkhaz Conflict Zone

Georgian media sources reported on December 21 that early this morning unknown attackers opened fire in the direction of a Georgian village of Orsantia in the Zugdidi region, which borders breakaway Abkhazia. 

Reportedly, two attackers were wounded as a result of response fire from the Georgian side. But Georgian State Minister for Conflict Resolution Issues denied reports about casualties and also refuted that a response fire was opened by the Georgian side.
