Russia Restricts Import of Agricultural Products from Georgia
The Russian Ministry of Agriculture imposed temporary restrictions on import of agricultural products from Georgia to Russia starting from December 19, the Russian Ministry?s press office reported.
The Russian side cited its decision by ?phytosanitary concerns? and violation of ?international and Russian sanitary requirements? by Georgia.
According to the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, the temporary restrictions will be in force, until Georgia eradicates the reasons for violations of international and Russian sanitary requirements.
