Georgian Foreign Minister to Visit U.S.

Georgian Foreign Minister Gela Bezhuashvili will pay an official visit to the United States on December 15, the Georgian Foreign Ministry reported.

The visit envisages meetings with U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld.

According to the Georgian Foreign Ministry, the meetings will focus on the prospects for bilateral relations between Georgia and the United States, active involvement of the U.S. in implementation of the peace plan on South Ossetia, combating international terrorism and the development of democracy in Georgia and the entire region.
