CIS Interior Ministers Meet in Yerevan
Georgian Interior Minister Vano Merabishvili is participating in the session of the Council of Interior Ministers of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) in the Armenian capital Yerevan on September 29.
The issues of combating corruption and illegal migration top the agenda of the session, that brought together the ministers from Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.
In his opening speech Executive Secretary of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Vladimir Rushailo described the Council of CIS Interior Ministers as one of the most effective bodies in the Commonwealth, according to RIA Novosti.
