Kazakh Bank Opens Branch Office in Tbilisi

Kazakh BankTuranAlem (BTA), which holds assets of USD 5.5 billion, opened a branch office in Tbilisi on August 23. 

BTA has already invested in the reconstruction of hotel Iveria in downtown Tbilisi into a five-star hotel. The Silk Road Group is BTA?s major partner in Georgia.

BTA has already set up branches in Moscow, Kiev, Yerevan and Shanghai. Among the major shareholders of BTA are the EBRD and IFC.
