On July 26 Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) issued video footage showing one of the suspects in Gori car bomb explosion, speaking about military training which he and a group of Ossetians underwent under the supervision of the Russian military intelligence operatives.

Gia Valiev, who reportedly is ethnic Georgia ? Valishvili but has changed name after moving to breakaway South Ossetia, says that Russia?s military intelligence (GRU) operatives were based in South Ossetian capital Tskhinvali on the base of the Russian peacekeeping forcers stationed in the conflict zone.

He said a group of Russian military instructors were training up to 115 Ossetians initially in Tskhinvali and then in Russia?s North Ossetian Republic on the base of the Russia?s 58th Army. Valiev said that they were trained in gun fire, using mines and explosives.

This was a second footage of a suspect. Earlier, on July 25 the Interior Ministry issued a video in which Valiev admits his involvement in deadly blast in February, which resulted in death of three policemen.

Russia has categorically denied that its intelligence services were linked with the Gori blast and described Georgia?s allegations as provocation.
