IMF Mission Visits Georgia
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) Mission, which arrived in Georgia three days ago, held talks with Prime Minister Zurab Nogaideli on June 7.
Finance Minister Valerie Chechelashvili and President of the National Bank Roman Gotsiridze also participated in the talks.
The IMF Mission praised the current economic processes in the country and expressed readiness to approve the disbursement of USD 20 million for Georgia under the three-year Poverty Reduction and Growth Facility (PRGF) arrangement.
The IMF’s Executive Board approved a three-year arrangement for Georgia on June 4. The total sum of this arrangement will total close to USD 150.3 million. Georgia has already received two disbursements under this arrangement.
