GUAM to Change Name

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Boris Tarasyuk said on May 19 that GUAM, the coalition of Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Moldova, will possibly be renamed the ‘Commonwealth of Democracy and Development,’ Interfax news agency reports.

Recently the name was already changed from GUUAM into GUAM, after Uzbekistan officially announced that it has pulled out from the organization.
 
The Ukrainian Foreign Minister also said that the GUAM Secretariat will soon be opened in the Ukrainian capital, Kiev.
