Saakashvili: No Bargaining over Russian Military Bases
Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili said on May 6 that there will be ?no bargaining? with Russia over the withdrawal of two Russian military bases from Georgia.
?This is our territory … We want these bases to be pulled out in a civilized manner,? Saakashvili told reporters in Batumi, where he participated in celebrations marking the one year anniversary of the peaceful ouster of Adjara?s ex-Leader Aslan Abashidze last May.
He also said that Georgia does not want relations with Russia to deteriorate because of these bases.
