Abkhaz Troops Train in Repelling Sea Landing Operation

In frames of large-scale military exercises, Abkhaz troops took part in training in repelling an enemy?s sea landing operation on April 21 near the town of Ochamchire, RIA Novosti news agency reported.

According to the breakaway region?s Defense Ministry a YAK-41 ?Freestyle? interceptor fighter jet is also taking part in the exercises.

1500 soldiers and 2500 reservists are reportedly taking part in the military exercises which were launched in unrecognized republic on April 18.

The Russian daily Kommersant reported on April 19 that SU-27 Flanker fighter jets were also taking part in the exercises.
