Saakashvili Calls to Boost ‘Patriotic Spirit’ of Nation

President Mikheil Saakashvili met with various Georgian sportsmen and representatives of the intelligentsia on February 24 in an attempt to support the initiative launched by parliamentarian Gia Tortladze aiming at creating a movement “to assist the Georgian army and increase the patriotic spirit of the nation.”

Saakashvili said that now Georgia has “a unique chance for reunification.”

“We will not have such a favorable opportunity any more to rise up,” the Georgian President said.
