Georgian State Minister Listed among Russia’s Millionaires
Georgian State Minister for Economic Reform Issues Kakha Bendukidze is listed 311th on a list of Russian millionaire businessmen, with USD 55 million. The list has been published by the Russian magazine Finans [Finance].
Bendukidze was president and chief executive officer of Russia’s largest private heavy engineering corporation, United Heavy Machinery before his appointment as Minister of Economy of Georgia last June.
Boris (Bidzina) Ivanishvili is the richest Georgian businessman in Russia, who is listed 17th with USD 2.35 billion. Ivanishvili is well-known in Georgia for his charity activities.
Other Georgian businessmen who are also listed include: Davit Iakobashvili, chief of the Wimm-Bill-Dann Foods – USD 185 million; Konstantin Mirilashvili, chief of the Euroservice company – USD 140 million; Aleksander Japaridze, President of the Petroalyans – USD 100 million; Gia Gvichia, General Director of the brewery company Kombinat Stepana Razina – USD 65 million and Zurab Tsereteli, a sculptor and the President of Russian Academy of Art – USD 35 million.
