Government Expects USD 250-300 mln from Privatization
Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania said at the government session on January 20 that instead of USD 100-150 million, as it was initially planned, the Georgian government expects 250-300 million from the privatization process in 2005. The expectations were revised upwards after the Chiatura Manganese Factory privatisation netted 132 million USD, well above the planned price.
Zhvania instructed the government plan the distribution of extra financial resources within next two weeks. ?This plan should aim at proper use of this financial surplus,? the Prime Minister added.
