Adjarian Deputy Interior Minister Defects Abashidze

Elguja Jincharadze, Deputy Interior Minister of Adjarian Autonomy, has arrived in capital Tbilisi after defecting Adjarian leader Aslan Abashidze.

He was one of the influential figures in Abashidze’s inner circle and led one of the militia groups.

Elguja Jincharadze is a last in a series of switching sides by the Adjarian officials.
