U.S. Assists Georgian Law Enforcers

Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania and U.S. Ambassador in Georgia Richard Miles signed on March 23 bilateral agreement, envisaging the U.S. Assistance in reformation of the Georgian law enforcement agencies.


According to the agreement the United States will allocate $2,475,000 to assist Georgia’s law enforcement agencies.


The assistance includes funding of development of the Georgian Police Academy, creation of the forensic lab; the assistance also considers appointment of legal advisor for the Georgian government.
