Abkhaz Government-in-Exile Elects New Chief

The Tbilisi-based Supreme Council of Abkhazia elected on March 16 Temur Mzhavia to chair Abkhaz authorities-in-exile.

Mzhavia, who is the member of the ruling National Movement-Democrats party, replaced Tamaz Nadareishvili.

The latter had to resign in January after the protest rallies of the internally displaced persons from Abkhazia.
