IMF Mission Visits Georgia
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission led by Paulo Neuhaus, which arrived in Georgia two days ago, will start to discuss the current fiscal situation in the country.
The Georgian authorities will have to submit the draft of 2004 budget to the IMF mission for consideration.
The Georgian authorities hope that the talks will be fruitful and the IMF programs, which were suspended last year due to non-fulfillment of commitments by Georgia, will be restored in 2004.
The restoration of Georgia’s cooperation with IMF will help the country discuss the issue of rescheduling of its foreign debt of 1,7 billion in the Paris Club.
