Elections Expected to Be Canceled in Rustavi

(Tbilisi, June 2, Civil Georgia) – Voting ballots were stolen in Rutavi, the main town in Kvemo Kartli region. This cause failure of elections this town.

The fact caused protest of the population. Now the protest rally is held in front of the administration building of Rustavi.

Political parties accuse each other in the accident. The police investigate the case.

The Central Election Commission [CEC] Chairman Jumber Lominadze stated that the CEC would cancel the elections in Rustavi.
